Wait, what’s that? An award nomination?
One of our members, Ian, was recently nominated for the 2011 Forty Under 40 in the Orlando Business Journal. Check it out here. Ian has been doing a lot of awesome stuff with the lab including organizing the upcoming Orange County History Center event, helping with the soldering class, and organizing a little convention we’ll all be looking forward to next year. FamiLAB “Hands-on” with 8-bit computer and video games at the History Center
The Orange County Regional History Center is running an exhibit called “Games People Play – The Evolution of Video Games” from July through September. FamiLAB members loaned the History Center few items from our personal 8-bit video game and computer collections – AND – We are happy to announce that the History Center is partnering with FamiLAB for a “hands-on” day, Saturday, July 16th from 11pm to 3pm. FamiLAB Soldering Class – June 2011
I’M MAKING A NOTE HERE: OUR FIRST SOLDERING CLASS WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! On Saturday, June 25th, FamiLAB held its first soldering class. This class was designed to be a “practice run” before the first public soldering class in July.
