Public Classes & Events

FamiLAB offers public classes and events as part of our educational mission. Most classes and events are open to the public unless specifically listed as “Members Only” or the class / event is hosted for a specific organization. (To host a class or event for your organization, Contact Us for more details). FamiLAB classes and events are free to members although a materials fee may apply. The price for non-members as well as any materials fee is included on the registration page for that class or event.

Interested in hosting an event or teaching a class? We now have a model to compensate qualified instructors of specific subjects. Email us at classes at familab dot org for more information – please include the subjects you are interested in teaching.

Programs

	Open House Come see FamiLAB and meet our members during this open to the public event! Held the first Tuesday of every month at 8pm. RSVP for the next Open House event at EventBrite.
	Open Make Work together on your projects at FamiLAB! Bring your work in progress or come help someone else. Held regularly, with new dates to come after Orlando Mini Maker Faire!

Regularly Scheduled Classes

	Intro to Soldering Learn a useful skill while assembling a simple electronics kit which you get to keep! Classes held regularly! RSVP for the February 17th, 2013 class now!
	Intro to Raspberry Pi We’ll walk you through the basics of the Raspberry Pi computing platform! Classes held regularly. RSVP for the February 9th, 2013 class now!
	Intro to Arduino We’ll walk you through the basics of the Arduino microcontroller platform with a kit you get to keep! Classes held regularly.
