Becoming a member
FamiLAB is a membership driven organization and membership dues currently provide our main source of revenue. We can’t keep this place running without you! Membership in the FamiLAB is open to artists, hackers, makers, and tinkerers who want to work in a collaborative, friendly environment. If you are interested in becoming a member, you should follow these three easy steps:
- Get to know us – visit us during an Open House or Contact us to setup a private tour, sign-up for a public class, or join us at an event
- Print out and complete the membership packet
- Setup recurring membership dues using the PayPal buttons below
Membership levels and dues
| “Thinker” Membership: Dues are $20/month. Benefits include: Free Classes (materials fees not included), 24×7 use of the “Think Lab” including free internet access, basic hand tools, and soldering tools. | |
| “Maker” Membership (Family): Dues are $50/month. All “Thinker Level” benefits + 24×7 use of the “Make” Lab including specialized tools (Laser Cutter, etc.) and personal storage. | |
| “Booster” Membership (Family): Dues are $100/month. All “Maker” Level benefits + Recognition on FamiLAB.org as a Booster + additional personal storage + ability to sponsor another individual at the “Maker” level. |
All membership levels include benefits from our sponsors, and other organizations that provide Hackerspace discounts such as Adafruit Industries and Instructables. Contact us for more information.
Limited sponsorship opportunities are available for students and others needing sponsorship. Contact us for more information.
Family memberships are for a single household only.
